After an early morning flight, long 4 hour layover in Miami, and 2 hr flight from there, we got word that our group landed safely in Port-Au-Prince this afternoon. They were then headed about 50 miles north along the coast to Montrouis, to the Eden Garden Orphanage.
This small team of 9 is in Haiti from March 3-10 doing assessment/evaluation (Pastor Kumar Dixit, Glenn Gibb and Monty Jacobs) and drilling 2 water wells. Dave Wooster and his father, Larry (owner of Wooster Drilling Company in Waldorf, MD) along with his well drilling associate (Danny Easterday) will be partnering with HANDS TOGETHER in Haiti to (hopefully) drill one water well on the orphanage grounds, and another well outside the gates of the orphanage for the community to use. Dr. Edmundo Justino and 2 nurses (Pastor Ann Roda and Elizabeth Wooster) will be doing medical clinics and evaluations as well. More details will be posted as they become available.
