There is a reason they call this "Eden Garden" - a stark contrast from what is happening outside the gates.
It is interesting to see the stark constrast between the children in town compared to the ones at Eden Garden Orphange. The children outside of the orphanage walls often fend for themselves - wandering the streets, sometimes naked and without shoes or supervision. In contrast, the children at Eden Garden are supported and lovingly cared for by a full staff of adult men and women who watch over them carefullly. Each child is fed three meals a day, and all have the privilege of atttending school and church which many Haitian children do not. The children at Eden Garden are playful, filled with joy, laughter and love. Haiti needs more of this.
